Letter: I’ve seen Elise Brown listen and lead

I have had the pleasure of working with Elise Brown at Evergreen Home Performance since 2009.
In those 16 years, I have been lucky to watch Elise grow into a successful small business owner, a skilled business manager, and a master facilitator.
When Elise joined Evergreen in 2009, one of the first things I noticed about Elise was her drive to get things done. Within a short time of joining a new company, Elise developed comprehensive OSHA compliant safety program for Evergreen. Elise and Evergreen were soon recognized as a leader in safety in our industry.
Over the years, Elise has worked hard to learn and master the skills necessary to facilitate
successful meetings. As can often be the case in small companies, meetings can get co-opted by the loudest or strongest voice in the group. Elise has learned how to facilitate successful meetings, allowing everyone to be heard while focusing on the desired goals of the meeting.
Having reviewed the duties and responsibilities of a county commissioner, I believe Elise would be a fantastic county commissioner for Waldo County.
