    Description

    Vintage small kerosene or oil lantern in the Calico Brown pattern, with a glass hurricane chimney and metal hanger.
    Base is made out of a small crock or jar in the Calico Brown transferware pattern, about 3 1/4 inches high and 3 inches in diameter. A brass lantern burner screws into the neck, with a wick hanging into the jar and a wick raiser key on the side to raise and lower it. A 5 1/2 inch glass chimney sits in the holder, and a black metal (possibly iron) 10-inch hanger clamps around the jar below the neck to hang the entire lantern. Overall almost 12 inches high and 6 inches wide.
    No markings on the base to indicate maker or age. In very good condition -- see pictures.
