This is standard economical hood filter for most hoods using 25″ filter track.  It is made of galvanized steel.  It has

label and
NY Certificate of Approval
.  The UL label/classification is only issued to filters that has gone through rigorous and methodological testing.  It is recognized by insurance company for it’s ability to perform its job.  In case you need to work with insurance company for whatever reason, this recognition is absolutely something you want on your filters.   As for the C. of A, this is issued by fire department.  It is also a critical piece that fire inspectors look for during inspections.  This is hands down the best replacement filter where these labels are needed.   In such cases, do not buy the imitation cheap filters because they are not tested/classified/recognized.
